The 2012 Junior Triathlon Skills Camp for the Northeast region is scheduled for July 5th through July 8th at Wheaton College in Norton, MA. The skills camp will give junior athletes the chance to take their abilities to the next level learning new and valuable skills. The 2012 Junior Triathlon Skills Camp

is for ages 13 to 19 and covers in addition to triathlon; nutrition, strength and conditioning, anti-doping policies and the athlete development pipeline. In addition, they will be mentored by athletes attending the USAT Northeast Select Camp.
The 2012 Select Camp will run concurrently with the Skills Camp and focus on advanced race strategy and tactics and video analysis. Athletes will be placed in various race scenarios where they will have to demonstrate their ability to adapt to the changing conditions on the fly. Our Coaching Staff:Matthew Valyo- Northeast Regional Athlete Development Coordinator for USA Triathlon, Level 2/Youth and Junior Certified coach and certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Coach Valyo is the team director of the TAF Racing Junior Triathlon High Performance Team Caryn "CJ" Jaffe- Level 1 coach, 5 time Ironman finisher (with Lyme's Disease), Team in Training Mentor for the Columbia and Eagleman Triathlon J.P. Gowdy- Head swim coach at Pomona College, 2000 Canadian Olympic Trials- Swimming Ron Sciepko- Mid Atlantic Regional Athlete Development Coordinator, Level 1/Youth and Junior Certified Coach, Certified Race Director Steve Wright- Level 1/Youth and Junior Certified coach, Assistant Coach TAF Racing, 4 time Northeast Talent ID Series Champion, Chobani Commercial (look for it on You Tube!) Sara Levey- Coaching Intern (Level 1 certified when camp begins), Assistant Coach with TAF Racing Christy Lausch- Certified Level 1/Youth and Junior CoachMINI COW TRI CLUB, the first youth focused USA Triathlon Club in Maryland, Three time USA Triathlon All American
