The 2021 USA Triathlon East National Junior Elite Select Camp  is scheduled for      June 27th through July 2nd at Wheaton College in Norton, MA. The Select Camp is by invitation only and focus on advanced knowledge and skill sets to prepare athletes for national and international level competition. Athletes invited to Select Camps generally have solid results in draft legal events, strong benchmarks or stand out performance in a single sport such as a state championship. Attendance at a previous select camp is no guarantee of an invitation the following year. This is a great way to prep for the race in Iowa!

If you are unsure whether you are eligible for an invitation, use the contact box at the bottom of the page to get in touch with Camp Director Matt Valyo. I will ask you to send an athlete resume with relevant PR’s and race results in order for you to be considered for an invitation. The ages for this camp are 15 to 18 years old as of December 31st.

The order of athlete invite preference is:

1- 2019 Ranking

2- Top 30 finish at Nationals (draft legal) or a Top 25 at a Junior/Youth Elite Cup

3- Qualifying benchmarks (contact the camp director, this is a ONE TIME qualification)

4- Standout Single Sport Performance (State championships, regional/national/international           competition)

5- USA Triathlon High Performance Staff recommendation

This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and meets the standards of the national development camp curriculum.
