Matt Valyo- Head coach and team director 
  • BS in Exercise and Sports Science- Clinical Exercise Physiology
  • USAT Level II, Youth and Junior Certified Coach
  • USA Triathlon Talent ID Liaison (since 2009- as RADC)
  • Assistant US coach at several international events
  • Director of USA Triathlon Select and Specialty Camps
  • Co-author of the national development camp curriculum.
  • Lead researcher in study on Junior Elite Triathletes and Competition Performance
  • Works (or has worked) with athletes from the US, Canada, Bermuda, Hong Kong, Chile, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Athletes in international competition have multiple top 5 through 15 finishes
  • Specialty in strength and conditioning 
Prior to coaching​
  • 8 years conducting search/rescue and law enforcement in the US Coast Guard (active and reserve)
  • 10 years as a paramedic in urban 911 system
  • EMT, Paramedic, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor
Matt's coaching philosophy puts the athlete and their well being first. Athletes are pushed to reach their maximum potential as part of a partnership which is based on their goals. Matt says to every athlete, "You tell me what you want to achieve. I tell you what you need to do. You tell me what you are willing to do. I set your expectations."
Gabriela Stolpinski-
Gabby is the assistant coach. She is a certified USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach. She has been racing draft legal triathlon with TAF since she was 13 and was the 2015 Northeast Talent ID Series Champion. Gabby is currently earned her degree in education at the University of Connecticut.
